Today marks one year since I started working in tech full time after graduation and I thought it was a good opportunity to spend some time reflecting on the past year, not just as a tech employee but as a young woman exploring her passions and interests within the field.
Becoming a full time tech-nerd.
The most obvious place to start my reflection would be in the company that made me a full-time technology employee. Working at Arm for the past year has been nothing short of amazing, having responsibility from day one, working with teams globally and domestically on projects that affect global and domestic companies has been an exciting journey. I’ve been able to develop skills in different areas including project management, data analysis and content marketing and have been able to work with amazing hard-working and intelligent people. Learning about open source technology, hardware and power management has been very interesting especially as it is a section of technology not commonly understood or known when you introduce people to tech.
Since working at Arm, I’ve been exposed to so many opportunities from working with the Black at Arm affinity group, being mentored and supported by amazing Women in the industry and also learning little by little what it means to be a technology manager/technical product manager. I…
